Bogor, June 29 – July 2, 2011

In order to develop human resources in the field of port management CCRMS-IPB in collaboration with the GIZ, Director General Sea transportation and bremenports was implement Training of Trainers Port Authority.  This training aims to educate trainers and prospective trainers on filed ports,

shipping and logistics in order to prepare the human resources of Port Authority staff to be competent and professional.

Pre-departure training is the beginning of a series of activities training of trainers (TOT) port authority. The series of TOT port authority are as follows:

• Pre-departure Training: June 29 - July 2, 2011, in Bogor, Indonesia
• Phase 1: July 4 - August 26, 2011, in Bremen, Germany
• Phase 2: September 5 - October 28, Transfers Project, in Indonesia
• Phase 3: November 7 –November 11, 2011 Refresher course, in Bogor, Indonesia.

Pre-departure TOT was opened by the Director of Ports and Dredging of Directorate General and Sea Transportation Ir. Kemal Heryandri, Dipl.HE, he said that TOT is important for the sustainability of human resource development in the field of port, shipping and logistics. He expects the TOT participants to follow this training seriously so that later after finished the training can convey that knowledge has been gained to the staff of the Indonesian port authorities.

TOT participants amounted to 20 people consist of staff from DGST, Human Resources Development Agency of MOT and CCRMS-IPB. On the first day the participants get a briefing from Mr. Kemal Heryandri about the goals and expectations of TOT. After a session of Mr.Kemal, next session is Mr. Agus Setiana on the topic of Achievement Motivation Training.

Furthermore, in the second day the participants get an introduction port that delivered by Capt. Nasdion Agoes. Earlier there was a panel session from representative of Secretary of DGST are Mr. Haikal that delivered issues port authorities and from representatives of the Chief Human Resources Development Agency of MOT Mr. Joko Pramono that delivered about human resource development on Port Authority.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Tridoyo Kusumastanto, Head CCMRS-IPB was delivered topic Maritime, to provide knowledge on maritime and develop the maritime paradigm to the participants. After that Prof. Sudjanadi, delivered on the topic of targets to be achieved from this human resource development program. Later in the afternoon Dr. RuddySuwandi provide direction on various stages and technical aspects of the TOT will be carried out in Bremen, transfers project phase and Refresher training in Indonesia.

On third day, Dr. Sri Rahardjo was delivered topic about business culture in the professional management of the port. After a session of Dr. Sri Rahardjo, pre-departure training was closed by Dr. Ruddy Suwandi.
