Bogor, May 30 – June 4 2011

After conducting phase 1 training for about 3 weeks in Bremen, Germany and implementing the phase 2 of training “transfer project” in their institutions for approximately two months, the participants of International Training Port Authority, carry out the Refresher training for one week at the Hotel Pangrango 2 Bogor.

This activity was held in cooperation between Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies (CCMRS)-Bogor Agriculture University, DGST, GIZ, and bremenports-Germany.

Refresher training was held to give refreshing for training has been conducted in Germany, and transfer project conducted in their institutions.

The Opening ceremony of Refresher training conducted in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the Port Authority Training for Staff forces on May 30th 2011 located in Executive Development Training Center Building-CCMRS. The training officially was opened by Secretary Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Mr. Ir. Kemal Heryandri, Dipl. HE. In his speech he stated that training is very important for the progress of the national port management and development.

After the opening ceremony Mr. Kemal Heryandri give lecture, in they are lecture Mr. Kemal delivering topic about critical issues on the duties and functions of the port authority.

During one week of training, participants get material from expert from bremenports namely Mr. Uwe Will (Director International Project bremenports) and Capt. Karsten Bruenings (International Expert of bremenports). After that the participants make presentations transfer project that has been agreed in the training in Bremen, with the topic is “The Development of Tanjung Priok Port”. The participants was also presentation on the tasks assigned by the Port Management Teachers Team with topic is Case Kalibaru Port Development.

After going through with intensive training finally Refresher Training closed by the director Mr. GIZ Bremen. Martin Foth and Head CCMRS IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tridoyo Kusumastanto, MS.
