The training is conducted at the initiative and cooperation of the Directorate of Coastal Areas, Small Islands, Borders and Certain Areas, National Land Agency (WP3WT BPN RI) and the Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies, Bogor Agricultural University (CCMRS-IPB).

The training was held on 21-24 June 2011 at the Hall EF IPB International Convention Center (IICC) and House Executive Development Training Center (EDTC) CCMRS-IPB.

Strengthening technical training and management of coastal areas, small islands, borders and certain areas are intended to harmonize the same understanding of policy and implementation agrarian governance in the context of integrated management of coastal zones and small islands. The training objectives are: (i) provide a thorough understanding of the typology and characteristics of coastal regions and small islands, (ii) provide a thorough understanding of all issues and problems of coastal areas and small islands, (iii) provide a thorough understanding of the approach to integrated management of coastal areas and small islands, and (iv) provide a thorough understanding of governance in the context of ownership, control, utilization and land use management of coastal zones and small islands.

Strengthening the training of technical management of coastal areas and islands of small, specific area of the border and is followed by the Head of Regulatory and Land Settlement in 33 Regional Offices of the Land, as well as the Head of Sub-directorate of Preparation Program Planning and Zoning and the Head of Sub-directorate of Structuring Regions. There are 3 (three) main groups of materials given in this training, namely: (i) an understanding of coastal systems, (ii) understanding of integrated coastal management, and (iii) understanding the dynamics of space in the context of integrated coastal management.
