Training on Integrated Coastal Zone Management
The ICM training is based on the initiative and cooperation between Ecoregions Development Center Bali-Nusa Tenggara, the Ministry of Environment, and the Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies, Bogor Agricultural University (PKSPL-IPB). It was held on 25-29 July 2011 held at IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor.
Integrated coastal zone management training is intended to harmonize the same understanding of policy and implementation of integrated coastal zone management in the Regional Bali-Nusa Tenggara. The training objectives are to provide a thoroughly understanding of: (i) typology and characteristics of coastal areas; (ii) all issues and problems of coastal areas; and (iii) integrated coastal zone management approaches.
Integrated coastal zone management training is attended by 12 staffs of PPE Bali-Nusra, from the Province of Bali, the Province of West Nusa Tenggara, and the Province of East Nusa Tenggara. There are 3 (three) main groups of materials given in this training, namely: (i) system and the dynamics of coastal areas including small islands, (ii) integrated coastal zone management, and (iii) environmental and physical dynamics of coastal areas.
